Starch straws are mainly produced from natural crop starch such as wheat, rice, corn, cassava, potatoes, etc. After extensive verification and testing, they can meet the needs of contacting different beverages and dairy products liquids. Starch straws do not melt during use, are edible, do not produce pollution, and can achieve environmental protection goals. The production process of starch straws has abandoned the traditional production method of straws and created a new production method. The entire production line is made by mixing raw materials, high-temperature extrusion, cutting and forming, hot air drying, disinfection and packaging, achieving automation and large-scale production.

Starch straws extruded at high temperatures have good water resistance and are not as easily soaked and softened as paper straws. They can maintain their basic shape for 2 hours in cold drinks. However, the hardness will still decrease after prolonged soaking, so it is recommended to shorten the usage time as much as possible during use to avoid prolonged soaking. Starch straws can have a shelf life of up to 2 years when stored under cool, dry, and dark conditions.
